Béla Bartók, the Hungarian composer and musicologist, is one of the most influential figures shaping 20th century musical composition. This documentary tells the story behind his visit to Anatolia in 1936 and his collection of folks songs in Ankara and Adana, with a focus on his contribution to ethnomusicology and folk music which he called the ‘sound of nature’.
