REMEMBERING FRIENDSHIP

This documentary is a call for friendship, an effort to raise an awareness about affinities between the others, an essay about bonding. Contrary to what has been done up today, instead of constantly provoking hostilities, this film emphasizes the friendship of communities that lived in peace and harmony throughout centuries and generated a common culture. Shot at Valance-France and Buenos Aires-Argentina, the documentary relates the friendship and affinities of two communities, the Armenians and Turks, through the Armenian diaspora. Far from words implicating hostility, Remembering Friendship is not only the story of two people, it is at the same time the story of Anatolia, told longingly and in bittersweet joy.
