CHILDREN OF STEPPE: THE ANATOLIAN WILD SHEEP

 

The Anatolian wild sheep exists in the world only at mount Bozdag in the province of Konya. The wild sheep is taken under protection in the 1960s when their species became endangered. They stil struggle to live in an area of 3600 hectares in Bozdag. This is the story of the four seasons of this sheep. They are the leading actors of this documentary. “Children of the Steppe” is the first wildlife documentary in Turkey that deals only with one wild animal species while witnessing the lives of other animals such as the golden eagle, ground squirrel and wolf, that share the same habitat with the wild sheep.
